Valero Energy is awarding Scholarships!

 

It is with great pleasure that Valero announces its commitment to award talented first-year students a $1,500 scholarship to assist in attaining their educational goals and connect to important resources that can fuel exceptional futures in the energy industry. The Valero scholarship’s primary focus is to reach minority students pursuing undergraduate degrees in engineering; particularly, students with a passion for Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Pre-Engineering.

 

Students who are awarded the scholarship will attend Valero’s Minority Engineering Summit on May 19-22, 2020, in San Antonio, TX. This all-expenses-paid developmental opportunity will take place at Valero Headquarters, and consist of four (4) days of learning, exploration, networking, volunteerism, and a site visit to a Valero Refinery.

The Koch Discovery Scholarship Program provides scholarships and networking to students from

universities across the country, awarding more than $80,000 annually in increments of $2,000.


Scholarship Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed based on:

• Academic achievements
• University organizations and activities 
• Relevant work experience 
• Honors and awards 

Selected applicants may receive an interview request, and finalists will be invited to attend Koch Discovery Day.
