2020 DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The OU Center for Intelligence and National Security announces 2020 U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) internship opportunities for engineering students including with the National Laboratories.

The 2020 Minority Educational Institution Student Partnership Program (MEISPP) https://www.doemeispp.org offers talented undergraduate and graduate students summer internship positions with the U.S. Department of Energy and its National Laboratories. MEISPP seeks students interested in Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial, Material, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Nuclear, and Petroleum engineering. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2020. The University of Oklahoma is designated by the U.S. Department of Education as an American Indian/Alaska Native Serving Institution (MSI).

Applicants selected to participate in the 2020 Minority Educational Institution Student Partnership Program will be notified within approximately 45 - 60 days from the submission deadline. As program participants, students receive an intensive 8-10 week assignment to "jump-start" their careers and develop their potential for future opportunities within the federal government. Students work side-by-side with leading scientists, engineers, and other top professionals to develop professional skills and enhance leadership capabilities. This year the program will run from Monday, June 1, 2020 through Friday, August 7, 2020.
