Hydrogen Energy Systems GE 4633/GE 5970
3 cr hr elective meets TR 12-1:15 PM
MEWBOURNE SCHOOL OF PETROLEUM
AND GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING
New Class on Hydrogen Energy Systems will be taught by
Dr. Baharak Sajjadi.
Hydrogen is a clean fuel that, when consumed in a fuel cell, produces only
water. Hydrogen can be found naturally (white Hydrogen) produced from
a variety of domestic resources, such as natural gas (gray Hydrogen), from
natural gas with carbon capture and storage (blue hydrogen) nuclear power,
biomass, and renewable power like solar and wind (green hydrogen). These
qualities make it an attractive fuel option for transportation and electricity
generation applications. It can be used in cars, in houses, for portable
power, and in many more applications. This course will address all the
aspects of generation, transportation, storage, and utilization of hydrogen.
