Now Launching: Lafayette Fellowship 2027–2028

The Lafayette Fellowship is a fellowship that supports up to 30 outstanding American students under the age of 27 to pursue one year of fully funded master’s-level study in France. The program is open to students across STEM, the humanities, social sciences, and the arts, with an interest in addressing global challenges in a French-American context. Knowledge of French is not required for acceptance into the program.

In addition to their academic studies, Fellows will participate in the French-American Leadership Program, a year-long experience featuring lectures, site visits, cultural immersion, and mentorship opportunities designed to develop the next generation of transatlantic leaders. The Fellowship provides full funding for one year of study, including tuition, travel, program activities, administrative costs, and a stipend to cover living expenses. Fellows will study at leading academic institutions across France and take part in program activities in cities including Paris and Strasbourg.
